We provide our services as a data processor on behalf of your employer who is the data controller. As part of responsibilities under the Data Protection Act 2018 and the GDPR, we have an obligation to assist your employer in fulfilling requests to provide data about you within our app. As they are the controller though, the request should be directed to them in the first instance.

The information that can be provided includes that which is (or has been) used to:
Learn or record something about you e.g. productivity, sales, performance at work
Make decisions about you
Have an impact on you
Give information or an opinion about you
Determine/influence the way in which you are treated
However, it is important to note that this does not include information about other people or certain exempt categories, so you may find some information is redacted or otherwise limited. For example:
Legal advice received
Employment references provided by/to your employer
Commercially sensitive information being processed for management forecasting or management planning
Negotiations between you and your employer such as settlement negotiations
Information disclosing the identity of other people.

In the meantime, you are able to access a lot of the information we hold via the Yapster app itself. This includes:
All profile information including: Name, Email addresses, telephone numbers, job title, work location, profile picture, description, etc
All created and received messages and newsfeed posts
All reaction activity to created newsfeed posts.
