Administrator: Deleting Content

This shows you how to delete any content in Yapster

The ā€œdelete any messageā€ permission allows a user to delete any content in Yapster. We recommend that this permission be given only to Sponsors, Admin users and HR Teams.

Why cant anyone delete anything?

We donā€™t want colleagues deleting content that does not need to be removed, anyone can delete their own content but they canā€™t delete their colleague's content. They can however report content as offensive, should they feel something is inappropriate, which will send a report to your administrator to review and action as is necessary!

There are 3 types of content that can be removed with this permission:

  1. Deleting a newsfeed post or announcement

  2. Delete a comment on a newsfeed post

  3. Delete a message posted by someone in a chat

Deleting a Newsfeed Post or Newsfeed Comment

  1. Select the body of the post or comment which will bring up the following option menu

  2. Select "Delete"


Deleting a yap message

  1. Select the body of the message which will bring up the following option menu

  1. Select "Delete"
