We use yap to describe any conversation, whether individual or group (1:1 yap and group yap) within Yapster.

A yap can also be a message sent within a conversation - "I'll yap you when I've finished closing down the kitchen."

We see a 1:1 yap as a private conversation while group yaps are busier team conversations.
