The majority of Yapster's features are built with permissions embedded, meaning administrators are able to customise & configure the workspaces depending on how an organisation interacts with its teams. If you're seeing a Yapster feature, but it appears greyed out, the relevant permission has not been enabled.
Examples of configurable permissions could be:
Newsfeed Posting Access;
usually used in large organisations in order to protect users from busy newsfeeds.
Group Yap Creation;
usually used in large organisations or parent companies that consist of multiple separate brands. Users have access to interact with local sites rather than creating cross-company irrelevant conversations.
Announcement Posting to the Newsfeed;
announcements override notification settings and the permission is therefore limited to administrators needing to distribute critical communication.
Large Conversation Creation;
usually applied to roles that regularly need to communicate with large groups of users (100+) at once e.g. Area Managers. This helps avoid the creation of too many large group yaps with unfocused content.
