You can customise your notification settings in Yapster based on personal preference as well as your work patterns. Here's how to customise when you receive notifications for messages.

You may want to scroll newsfeed content in your own time instead of receiving a badge and activity dot for every newsfeed post.

To do this, you can choose to mute newsfeed:

Step 1: Click your Settings cog โš™๏ธ in the top left corner of the screen in your app and choose Notification Preferences, then scroll down to Mute by Content Type.

Step 2: Toggle the mute newsfeed option [the colour will change to indicate the setting is live]

If your organisation has Yapster's multi-timeline feature set up, you can choose which newsfeeds you'd like to receive notifications from when there is new content. All newsfeeds you are part of will appear under Mute by Content Type when you head to your Settings Cog and click Notification Preferences.

Choose the newsfeed you'd like to mute by toggling the option on, this will change colour:

You can choose to mute as many or few as you'd like, depending on how you'd like to be notified of new content posted to these feeds.

Please note: Administrator announcements override standard newsfeed notification settings due to their critical nature - users will always receive these push notifications regardless of notification setup.
