How to add contractors to your directory who aren't in your HR feed

You may wish to add contractors or suppliers to your Yapster workspace if you're happy for them to be able to access and consume your internal content.

For obvious reasons, these users will not be added to your internal HR/Payroll provider as an employee profile, and are therefore not added to Yapster via nightly automated import.

Manual import of such users is therefore permitted in these cases.

(*This will not work if you are using manual imports for your primary HR data uploads, in which case please contact your Account Manager)

Step-by-Step Guide


Step 1: Open this template and save a copy [File --> Save a Copy] to add your user details. Here's what we need to fill the columns and create a user profile.

Step 2: Once you're happy with the details added to your spreadsheet, download as a CSV (comma-separated values).

Step 3: Head to your Admin Console (⚠️Through the Sidebar accessed by clicking the icon in the top left corner, not the Admin App!)

Step 4: Select Bulk Actions and then

Step 5: Import joiners from a CSV file.

Step 6: Hit Next to choose your file (ensuring this is a .CSV).

Step 7: Click Next and then APPLY to add your new users.
