Yapster's messaging capabilities are incredibly versatile, and some organisations have been able to cherry-pick Yapster's 1:1 & group messaging and user directory to plug into an existing communication hub.

While there are limitations in functionality & user experience, these bespoke projects enable staff to get the best of both worlds when it comes to increasing usage of existing platforms by harnessing Yapster's instant messaging functionality.

We call this iteration of our platform Yapster Lite which has been set up for some clients, that use platforms such as Fourth or RMS.

Below is a general overview of the functionality you can expect from this Lite experience.

What can users do:

  • Yapster lite users can send 1:1 or group messages;

  • Search the directory to create bespoke conversations or 121 yaps;

  • View their activity.

What are the limitations:

  • Users cannot add media content to their 121 or group yaps;

  • If a user attempts to add media content, they will be prompted to download the native app.

Why use the native app?

  • Users will be able to add media (images, videos, gifs and PDFs) to yaps

  • Media-rich content is much more engaging and fun!

  • Users can personalise their profile by adding a picture

Users can switch between Native and Lite at anytime.
