A core function of the Yapster platform is the ability to integrate with a whole host of partner software, including HR & Payroll platforms.
Yapster's platform architecture was designed this way to enable automated imports from a customer's HR provider.
Once you have requested your HR connector details and forwarded these to support@yapster.info, our team will schedule the work needed to set up your import.
Once live, your employee data (housed in your HR system) will be populated in Yapster to create:
users;
groups;
users in groups.
During automated nightly imports, Yapster pulls in your employee data once again which essentially re-writes your records. This means that your data will be refreshed to reflect any changes made by you and your teams in your HR system every day. Changes include:
new starters: new profiles will be added to your directory under the correct location and role groups;
leavers: accounts processed as leavers in your HR data will be disabled and access Yapster is revoked;
site transfers & job title changes: any changes to existing profiles in Yapster will be actioned, these could be name changes, promotions or even site moves.
Once a user transfers to a different location within your organisation, they are then privy to a different location group conversation to reflect the move.
Location yaps
Every location populated in Yapster from your HR data, as well as roles (these may be called function, division or department depending on your HR provider) is an addressable group and is therefore displayed in your company directory.
All users in your organisation will sit in the company directory under any location or role group.
Yapster reduces manual admin for you and your managers by automatically generating group conversations based on these location and role groups.
As your teams onboard, thanks to the accurate real-time data being pulled into Yapster from your HR system, they will be welcomed into their ready-made location group chats.
As colleagues move around the business, they will join the relevant location yaps without the need for managers to manually administer participants records in their group yaps. This also give you peace of mind in that no terminated employees have access to company comms via Yapster once they've left the business.
Although leavers are removed promptly within 24 hours of being processed in your HR system, immediate removals can be actioned using the redact permission.
