N.B. Being able to redact a user is permission-based. If you don't have this relevant permission, you won't see the Redact button on a user's profile. If you think you should have access please contact your Yapster administrator who can give you the associated permission by following the article here.

Redacting a User

Redacting a user should be done when you want to remove access for a user immediately instead of waiting for HR Datafeed to disable the account as a leaver.

Step 1) Click on the Find tab and search for the User

Step 2) Click the REDACT button on the profile picture

Step 3) Click OK to the following prompt:- Redacting a user will prevent them from using Yapster and lock their profile.

The user redacted will no longer have access to any part of Yapster. They will also disappear from the directory.

Should they try to log in they will get the following message and not be able to progress further:

  • 'you logged on fine but you're not assigned to any organisations'
