This article outlines how to get a team member back into Yapster if they don't remember their login details but are "active" (have previously accessed their Yapster account) on Yapster and should therefore have an email address or mobile phone numbers already associated with the account which we call "Registered Devices"
If they know their username and just need to reset their password - they can reset their own password using this article.
You can send "inactive" users (ie. they have never accessed their Yapster account) an individual invite link using this article.
What is a registered device link?
As an administrator, you can help your team member to get back into Yapster if they have forgotten all of their details. You will need to send them what we call a "register device" link.
Pro tip: Yapster users with "active" accounts have a green dot and last seen detail under their name in their profiles.
Sending a Registered Device Link
Follow these steps to send a registered device link.
Step 1 - Go to the "Find" tab in the Yapster app (your tabs are at the bottom of the screen)
Step 2 - Search for the colleague you need to send the link to. This will send you to their profile.
Step 3 - In their profile, tap on the "Register Devices" button
Step 4 - In the Register Devices window, you will see what devices they have registered to their profile and you can tap on the email or mobile to send them a link.
Once the link is sent, you will see a confirmation (green banner) that the login email/text has been sent.
Pro tip - You can register multiple devices by simply adding a mobile number and/or email in the empty field and clicking "Add".
