We've compiled some Top Tips to ensure your newsfeed posts are as engaging as possible. The goal here is to increase engagement, which you'll be able to measure in a rise in daily & weekly interacting % on your Yapster dashboard.

Tools:

Our Top Tips:

  • Respond to all comments left on your newsfeed post - either by reacting or replying directly to the comment;

  • Ask a question in your caption to promote feedback;

  • Optimise your headlines: use two attention-grabbing words at the beginning of a post such as GIVEAWAY ALERT, DON'T MISS;

  • Write emotive headlines: How to [do something] that will [help you get the desired result], X ways to do X, What is the best way to do X? E.g.

    • How to guarantee the perfect pour🍺

    • 5 ways to delight your guests

    • What is the best way to serve a large group?🧑‍🤝‍🧑

    • 3 tricks to keep your stock room spotless🧹

    • What does the perfect closing shift look like?🔐

    • How to double your ATV⬆️

  • Hold Q&A sessions: this is a fantastic way to strengthen the connection between HQ & frontline staff;

  • Use hashtags: these provide an easy way to categorise your content on the newsfeed. Create & consistently use the same hashtag for your promotions. Keep them short and memorable. Capitalise the first letter of every word;

  • Keep the conversation going: try to end comments with open-ended questions. What are your thoughts on X? Feel free to share your ideas in the comments section below;

  • Company leaders need to be regularly and visibly engaged: Think 1-2-3

1-2-3 rule for Interacting

For every 1 of your newsfeed posts, aim to add 2 comments and 3 reactions elsewhere on the newsfeed. This shows you're interested and actively engaging in what others are doing and you're listening to what they're sharing.

Make it a habit or assign yourself a task/reminder if you need to in order to ensure your teams see your name appearing regularly. Your company leaders should be visible per their commitments in their Social Leadership SLA.
