The following permissions are recommended for anyone taking on an administrator role in Yapster for their organisation - this could be individual users or a complete team e.g. HR. Anyone involved in monitoring offensive content should be granted these permissions to facilitate:
delete any message: allows users to delete content posted by other users.
The offensive content report contains a link to access offending content and remove following this process. Delete any message is an additional safeguarding tool should the admin team spot any content requiring immediate removal. Although using this permission to delete messages means the content is deleted from the platform for users, a complete conversation record remains in the system with timestamp of deletion.
edit other user profiles: allows users to edit profile pictures, displayed names and bios if needed.
An extended safeguarding tool in the event that profile details need to be removed.
Usage and engagement dashboard access: allows users to access Chartio embedded usage dashboard via the Apps tab.
Users with dashboard visibility can access a usage dashboard by logging into Yapster's desktop browser (app.yapsterchat.com) and clicking the Dashboard icon in their Apps tab to open a new tab containing usage metrics. Tables can be expanded and downloaded as CSV to be distributed where necessary.
Redact users: allows users to permanently redact user profiles from the system when a user needs to be immediately removed.
Allows users to immediately remove a user from Yapster if necessary by clicking the Redact button on a user profile. This removes profile details from view and revokes access to Yapster for the individual. As such this involves a manual action to reverse. See this article for more details.
